If you are missing a tooth or several teeth, Dr Ali encourages you to start considering your restorative options as soon as possible. Dr Ali recommends dental implants as the optimal solution and offers Teeth in a Day so he can help you regain a full and functional smile in a single appointment.
Who is it for?
Any patient who is missing all of their teeth or who will soon have teeth extracted may want to consider Same Day Teeth. Healthy patients who choose to proceed with Teeth in a Day immediately following tooth removal due to a cavity or infection have a high chance of success.
Benefits of Same Day Teeth
A Same Day Teeth procedure streamlines treatment, saves time, reduces dental anxiety and instantly restores your smile and self-esteem. Non-removable teeth held in place by dental implants are more comfortable and secure than other missing teeth options. Thanks to the stability they provide you will be able to talk, eat and smile with confidence. The dental implants also help to stabilise and maintain the jawbone, preventing future bone loss. Some other benefits include:
- Natural look and feel
- Your teeth will not slip or dislodge
- No need for an uncomfortable denture while the implants heal
- One surgical procedure
- Regain function of your natural teeth
- Long lasting results
Frequently Asked Questions
What does Same Day Teeth or Teeth in a Day mean?
A Same Day Teeth procedure enables Dr Ali to design, fabricate and fit your dental restoration in just one visit to our practice.
Can anyone benefit from the Same Day technique?
Teeth in a Day is generally recommended for healthy patients who are missing most or all of their natural teeth, or who have failing teeth that require extraction. Dr Ali will evaluate your smile and overall health to determine if you are a candidate for the Same Day Teeth procedure.
How long does the process take?
The surgery takes approximately 2-3 hours per arch.
What do I actually get?
For each arch you will receive 4 to 6 strategically placed implants which then support a temporary full arch bridge of teeth made from high impact acrylic. Once the implant have fused with the bone (3-6month) the temporary teeth are repacked with a permanent bridge which is reinforced with a miller Titanium bar.
Can I use them as normal teeth?
You can brush, floss and eat as normal. You may have to eat soft foods whilst wearing the temporary teeth to allow the implants to fuse with the bone.
If I want to meet the team and discuss my options, what do I do next?
Email Dr Ali or complete the enquiry form for a complimentary consultation with one of his treatment coordinators.
Is the procedure painful and how long is the recovery period afterwards?
The procedure is minimally invasive, and the dental implants are placed under local anaesthetic so you should feel no discomfort. Intravenous sedation can be offered for any patient who wants to feel relaxed during the procedure. Any swelling afterwards can be managed with OTC pain relievers.
Is the procedure expensive, and are there any finance options?
The cost will depend on the complexity of your case. Dr Ali collaborates with finance companies to offer patients affordable payment plans so you can get the treatment you need to maintain your oral health.
How long does the procedure take? Is it really all done in one day?
In addition to the actual procedure, you will also have pre-op appointments and several post-op review appointments. Approximately 3-4 appointments are needed to make final bridge.
Please contact Dr Ali if you have any questions, or if you are ready to schedule your first appointment. Dr Ali’s treatment co-ordinator will explain how the procedure works. Thereafter, a consultation can be booked with Dr Ali where he will evaluate your smile, explain all your tooth replacement options in detail and help you find the best solution for your unique oral health needs.
